Title: Effective Field Theories and XY Z states at LHCb and BESIII
Speaker: Jorgivan M. Dias
Abstract:
The hadron spectroscopy with heavy quarks (charm and bottom) have been triggering an intense wave of theoretical activity due to the large experimental information on the new hadrons observed among others by the LHCb and BESIII collaborations. They seem to have unconventional properties that cannot be easily explained by the successful quark model, and because of that, they have become candidates for the longstanding idea of multiquark configuration, also called exotic states. In this talk, we discuss the two most attractive multiquark models: Molecular and Tetraquark pictures adopted to interpret some new hadrons reported by the LHCb and BESIII collaborations over the past years. In particular, we discuss the singly and doubly heavy baryons like Ωc, Ωb, Ξcc and some new possible states in this baryonic sector. On the other hand, in the meson sector, we will talk about some XYZ states as, for example, the newly observed Tcc, the charged Zc’s, Zcs and X(5568) among others. They are explored under the perspective of two non-perturbative theoretical tools: Chiral Unitary and QCD sum rules approaches. More specifically, we will cover the advantages and disadvantages of each of them for the particular model adopted.
